HOOKS
I usually use a size 8 or 10 size treble hook, easy to swallow
for the catfish and the treble hook hold my soap bait good,
My second choice is a 3/0 to 5/0
tru turn hook, stain
less steel or plated, really hooks good.
I always add something FREE to my orders, Hooks or
if requested, plans for my catfish stunner, not legal anywhere
except on private waters, and the water needs to be running to work
correctly, also water needs to be warm, summer time is best for
the soap to work the best, but I use it all year round.

I am an old retired gearhead and proud US Navy veteran and voting member of the

70 years old, I still work some, but everyone knows work is for people who don't know
how to fish. I have fished 90 days in a row , never missing a day, I have not fished since saturday,
this is sunday and its rainin' cats and dogs today. I live in Texas and somehow, people think I have
lost all my marbles because I do live here. I may move to Mexico , if the NUT wins the election,
I have looked at lake Chapala, down south in Mexico, its northwest of mexico city.
Its the biggest Natural lake in Mexico ,22 miles
wide and 48 miles long. , about 600,000 acres, huge lake.......
We, my brother's, my Dad and I had a lot of fun fishin'....
one time we went to a lake in Arkanas and fished 5 days and we took
home 400 lbs of catfish fillets, mostly we caught flat heads, they bite
mainly live bait, we used minnows and gold fish for bait. We ate all
the bass and perch we caught for supper each night.

we went to Ft Gibson lake in eastern Oklahoma countless numbers of time
and also we fished the Grand river, north of Ft Gibson, ...............
My old Dad had a lot of wisdom, one day he said ,let me tell you
somethin' boy, "all horse's rears ain't on horse's", that's the truth, I can tell by all the ads on tv
especially since this is election year, I'll be glad when
it's over, Huh?
I never did watch much tv, never could stomach the ads.
I used to fish a lot with my late father- in law, and one time we were fishin' on the river
and he decide he was hungry so we baited our hooks and I baited one of mine with a
hand sized perch , put a 7/0 forged hook in his back , attachted a 100 lb test .braided
nylon line to it and threw it out into the river as far as I could and tied it to a willow limb
about the size of my wrist, we were gone about an hour and when we got back, all the
nylon line was layin' on the bank, the willow limb was nearly cut in half and the 7/0 forged
hook was straightened out. It nearly had to be an old flat head catfish, they get real big, and
nearly always eat only live bait, there have been several flatheads caught in this area that
exceeded 100 lbs,,Blue cats get even bigger than the flatheads.
I never have caught one that big but I have caught about a 100 that went
over 50 lbs. I have used nearly any and all kinds of catfish bait, some with a real disgustin'
smell, but the best I ever used is the one that I sell at this website,ZOTE soap.
it has a pleasant smell and your hands wash real clean and without the raunchy smell
of some of the catfish bait on the market. I have made some of that stink bait,I used hog
brains, cheddar cheese and spoiled milk and stirred it all up in my wife's blender, ( don't
use your wife's blender, it could cause a divorce or a murder.), I thought I had cleaned the blender
out real good, but nooooooooo , if you know women, you know they can see a gnat squat at a 1000 yards,
any way, we reconciled when I bought her a new blender and promised to never use it, I
did get to keep the old blender tho. My wife goes fishin' with me sometimes, I think she just
wants to see
what I do when I fish, like I would do somethin' wrong when she is with me, I may be dumb but I'm
not stupid.

Zote everytime I go fishing. I soften the zote in the micro wave and form it around a small
treble hook, size 10, you can use any size, I just prefer the smaller size. I also make a bunch
of pea sized balls to chum with , I just throw my chum out into the water, and wait a few minutes,
usually
15 or 20 minutes, and then I drop my hooks in the same area and hold on.
Make sure chuming is legal where you fish.
